Mum going back to work

So I had my kids pretty young, I was eighteen at the time.
My youngest is now six and at school full-time.
So I felt like, you know, it’s time for me to get a job.
But, to be honest – I didn’t even know where to start.
So I went back to school – and got myself a recognised qualification.
Actually, it was kind of fun.
And it helped me get job in the aged-care industry, which is really rewarding - I was surprised.
I really love it. I get to be around some pretty amazing characters.
And the hours are really flexible so I can always get back in time to collect the kids from school.
So they get Mum. Mum’s happy. It works great for all of us.
Maybe aged-care’s not for you, but they reckon there’s skills shortages, so there’s plenty of things you can do if you get a certificate or another type of qualification, like I did.
